Position Summary: 
The Production Engineer II is responsible for providing outstanding solutions and support in the manufacturing process of control valves. In this position, you will be the technical go to person for the production and manufacturing teams, responsible for quickly solving issues and providing new ideas for better production methods. 
 
Responsibilities: 

  • Analyzing production team needs, providing guidance and problem resolution 
  • Preparation of test procedures and O&M manuals 
  • Review of technical documentation and proposed designs 
  • Work with other engineers to support regulatory audits  
  • Providing troubleshooting for product testing 
  • Answering post-sale technical support questions 
  • Collaborating with division managers to implement process upgrades 
  • Building first articles of new product designs 
  • Development of new processes to optimize production 
  • Other tasks as needed by the team

  • Require minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks 
  • Ability to think critically and independently find solutions when presented a problem 
  • Detailed and effective at accurately documenting specifications 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, balancing every day production needs with larger systemic upgrades 
  • Ability to work in a team 
  • Patient and capable of working under pressure 
  • Building intercompany relations to better serve the production and manufacturing teams 

 
Skills: 

  • Education: bachelor’s degree (four-year college or technical school) or work equivalent Field of study: engineering, engineering technology, or related discipline 
  • Experience: 6-10 years in manufacturing, application, design or related position . Experience with air valves or hydraulic control valves- advantage 
  • Computer Skills: proficiency with Microsoft office products. Experience with 3D CAD modeling – advantage 
  • Language: English. Additional languages – advantage 
  • Experience with technical troubleshooting – advantage 
  • Experience/education with hydraulics or fluid systems - advantage 

Physical Requirements: 
• Ability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and kneel for up to 8 hours or more 
• Good hand-eye coordination 
• Computer use for extended periods of time 
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
