Role summary:The Senior Technician, Facility Services General Maintenance, plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of Walmart facilities and equipment through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This position involves diagnosing issues, managing maintenance schedules, overseeing less-experienced associates, and coordinating with contractors to meet quality and safety standards. The role requires expertise in multiple crafts, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective documentation of maintenance activities. The Senior Technician also supports training initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to maintain operational excellence across facilities.

What you'll do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with regulations.
- Inspect, diagnose, and document issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Lead and mentor less-experienced associates, providing hands-on training and overseeing work quality and safety standards.
- Manage work orders, parts inventory, and contractor relationships while ensuring adherence to budget and company policies.
- Operate heavy machinery and company vehicles safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
- Collaborate with teams to improve processes and maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety compliance.
- Proficiency in multiple craft skills such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and equipment operation.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and facility issues using blueprints, manuals, and tools.
- Strong leadership skills to oversee projects, mentor associates, and manage contractors.
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure safety and quality standards.
- Competence in managing maintenance schedules, work orders, inventory, and budget reporting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to support team goals and continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 3 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.Option 2: 6 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
