Sr Adviser Finance-India Pricing

Overview

• Waters India is currently leading a search for an India Pricing Sr Adviser for our Waters Analytical Science Division Organization.  

  This position will report directly to the Sr. Director Finance and plays a high-visibility role in driving pricing excellence across the Region with closely working in alignment with global pricing leadership.

  This role will work on reporting and analysing price realization and discount metrics along conducting in-depth pricing analyses to identify key product and market drivers as well as barriers to price optimization. Further role includes with global leadership guidance driving price-enhancing strategies such as promotional initiatives, annual list price adjustments, and supporting product launches.

• Looking for experienced resource handling Indian Commercial Finance. 
• Not applicable for Shared Services / GCC experienced.

Responsibilities

• • Pricing Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of India pricing structure, market conditions, competition and product performance to identify key drivers and barriers to price optimization. Use insights to recommend actionable strategies and work closely with Sales team  
  • Reporting & Metrics: Prepare and maintain accurate weekly/monthly reports on price realization, discount percentages, stick rate percentages and related pricing KPIs to provide visibility into performance and trends.
  • Enable broader sales team to drive pricing, freight recovery initiative with relevant information, annual ARC’s, contracts and negotiations.  
  • Price-Enhancing Strategies: Support and execute initiatives to improve pricing outcomes, including promotional campaigns, annual list price adjustments, and targeted discount strategies.  
  • Product Launch & Life Cycle Management: Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to develop pricing recommendation for new product launches. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build trust relationship with cross functional team by working closely with FP&A, sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment on pricing strategies and execution.  

Qualifications

• • Education: Bachelor’s degree/MBA in Finance, Marketing, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. MBA or Chartered Accountant preferred 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to work with data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions. Prepare clear reports and dashboards for stakeholders. High level of attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy and quality of data reporting. Relevant Experience of 5 years is preferred
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is required. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.  
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn quickly through structured training and mentorship and take on new challenges in a dynamic environment. Curious and proactive in learning about pricing strategies, market trends, and analytics tools. 
  • Communication: Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Work closely with finance, sales, marketing and product teams on pricing projects.
