Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia | Bellingham, WA Part-Time / Full-Time | Pay: $53.00–$58.00/hour, DOE

Highland Health & Rehabilitation of Cascadia is looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll help residents restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and regain independence — making a meaningful impact in the lives of the people we serve.

What You'll Do
- Establish and administer treatment plans with specific therapy goals based on each patient's capacity and tolerance, under physician direction
- Assess patient needs; plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet physical therapy goals
- Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient
- Set realistic, achievable goals for patients/residents
- Document and record patient/resident condition and progress per state and federal regulations
- Educate patients and families in appropriate therapy methods
- Oversee screening of all residents to optimize functionality and skills
- Communicate patient status and needs to the patient, family, and care team
- Maintain punctual, regular attendance for assigned shifts
Other Responsibilities
- Adhere to Minimum Data Set (MDS) procedures and effective care planning
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to PTAs working in the facility
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
Licensure/Certification:
- Current Physical Therapist license in the state of employment
- Current CPR certification
Experience:
Six months of long-term care experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Working knowledge of HIPAA
- General understanding of managed care
- Familiarity with state and federal rules governing therapy delivery and documentation in skilled nursing facilities

Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate Degree from a college or university with an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Licenses/Certification:
Current Physical Therapist license in the state employed.
Current CPR certification.
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
