The Executive Assistant, Human Resources is responsible for providing critical support for the VP, HR Cepheid, operating at the highest level of confidentiality and autonomy. This is a high-impact role requiring understanding of corporate structures, business operations, and strategic planning, enabling autonomous decision-making.
This position reports to the VP, HR Cepheid and is part of the Cepheid HR Organization located in Sunnyvale, CA and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve as a trusted liaison to the VP, HR and leadership team by driving operational excellence, facilitating effective communication, and supporting strategic HR and business priorities across the organization.
Manage complex executive calendars, global travel, meetings, expense reports, purchase orders, budgets, and administrative processes while independently resolving issues and prioritizing urgent matters.
Plan and execute onsite and offsite events, including venue selection, logistics, catering, audiovisual support, security coordination, VIP guest management, and presentation development.
Coordinate key HR initiatives and executive-sponsored programs by managing project plans, tracking milestones, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and ensuring timely delivery of objectives.
Identify, monitor, and escalate project risks while maintaining action logs, coordinating follow-up activities, and supporting the successful execution of strategic HR priorities and organizational initiatives.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of administrative support experience supporting C-suite or executive-level leaders in a corporate environment.
3+ years of experience managing executive calendars, domestic and international travel arrangements, expense reporting, and meeting coordination.
3+ years of experience coordinating projects, including managing timelines, tracking deliverables, maintaining project documentation, and monitoring milestones.
3+ years of experience planning and executing executive meetings, conferences, and corporate events from inception through completion.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including calendar management, document creation, presentation development, and spreadsheet reporting.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel internationally and domestically per business needs.

The salary range for this role is $80,00-$120,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
