Job Description:
- Collaborate with design engineers to build, test, and evaluate engineering prototypes through static, dynamic, and environmental conditions.
- Interpret schematics and assist with schematic entry, modifications, and documentation updates (including use of tools such as VeriBest or equivalent).
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including prototype build, validation testing, and product qualification.
- Troubleshoot production yield, quality issues, and support root cause analysis of Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Assist in the development of test specifications, engineering change orders (ECOs), and supporting technical documentation.
- Support production operations through technical troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute and document engineering tests using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, phase noise analyzers, and environmental test systems (thermal, shock, vibration).
- Contribute to special engineering projects such as test method development, evaluation of new equipment, and automation tools (e.g., macros, scripts, or data analysis support).
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of electronics or engineering technician experience, or Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering Technology (or related field) plus equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of RF circuits, AC/DC electronics, and the effects of thermal and mechanical stress on electronic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret and modify electronic schematics.
- Hands-on experience building, testing, and evaluating electronic prototypes.
- Proficiency with electronic lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, phase noise analyzers, and environmental test systems).
- Familiarity with military and industry standards such as MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883, and MIL-PRF-55310 preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- U.S. Person required due to ITAR compliance.
