Overview
CORT is seeking a full‑time, enthusiastic Dispatcher to join our Centralized Dispatch Team. This is a work from home position. The Dispatcher plays a critical role in a fast‑paced, high‑volume delivery environment by coordinating daily route execution and supporting operations across assigned districts. This role actively monitors truck progress, manages multiple priorities simultaneously, and communicates in real time with drivers, internal teams, and customers to keep deliveries on track.
The Dispatcher is a key problem solver, addressing service issues as they arise and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries. Success in this role requires strong multitasking skills, clear communication, and the ability to remain calm and organized while managing constant activity throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Pay: $22 / hour. This position is also eligible for CORT's Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.
Schedule: Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM (CST/ET) or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM (CST/ET); some flexibility and occasional overtime may be required.
Candidates located in the Eastern or Central Time Zones will be given priority consideration.
This position is performed from the convenience of your home office. Equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee daily delivery and pickup operations utilizing routing and dispatch systems.
- Monitor fleet activity in real time and proactively resolve service disruptions to maintain delivery commitments.
- Communicate effectively with Delivery Management, Operations, Sales, and Customers regarding route status, service updates, and issue resolution.
- Deliver timely, two‑way communication through email, telephone, text messaging, ERP platforms, and routing software.
- Conduct customer pre‑call communications for next‑day deliveries and pickups.
- Plan, configure, and optimize routes using Descartes Routing Software to improve operational efficiency and service performance.
- Manage daily dispatch capacity while anticipating operational requirements to meet service demand.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure alignment and continuity across dispatch, operations, and customer service teams.
- Support customer experience initiatives by managing escalations and assisting with contingency planning during service interruptions or peak volumes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in a high‑volume call center or fast‑paced service environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, required.
- Strong technical aptitude with business software, email platforms, and data entry (typing speed of 40+ WPM preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
