Materials Manager (Chemical Manufacturing) M/F

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced leader to take on a newly created role responsible for Production Planning, Warehouse Operations, and Procurement within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This position will play a key role in ensuring production continuity, optimizing operational processes, and developing a high-performing operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead production planning activities based on raw material availability, packaging materials, and demand forecasts.

• Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow processes of raw materials, packaging materials, and semi-finished products.

• Coordinate procurement-related activities and collaborate closely with purchasing teams.

• Ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging components to support manufacturing operations.

• Manage warehousing processes needed for effective operations of manufacturing activities

• Monitor operational KPIs related to material availability, inventory levels, and process efficiency.

• Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to support business objectives.

• Identify and implement improvements across planning, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

• Lead an operational team through collaboration with supervisors and team leaders.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Requirements

Required

·         Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

·         5-7+ years of materials, planning, inventory, warehouse, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.

·         5+ years of people leadership experience.

·         Strong ERP / MRP experience; SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar preferred.

·         IMPULS knowledge is a strong advantage

·         Demonstrated experience improving inventory accuracy, material availability, and warehouse flow.

·         Strong understanding of cycle counting, inventory controls, receiving, warehouse layout, and material replenishment.

·         Ability to lead cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred

·         Chemicals, life sciences, pharmaceutical, regulated manufacturing, or hazardous materials experience.

·         APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification strongly preferred.

·         Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent lean manufacturing experience.

·         Experience with S&OP, demand planning, master scheduling, and production planning.

·         Knowledge of cGMP, ISO, FDA, DOT, OSHA, EPA, or chemical handling compliance requirements.

·          Experience leading kaizen events, 5S programs, kanban systems, standard work, and visual   management.
