MAIN PURPOSE
In the context of strengthening the interplay between International HQ and Cartier Japan to improve time to market and reinforce the local relevance of our brand communication, this role drives both local branding strategy and the production of local creative content. Rooted in a deep understanding of the Maison’s DNA, this position operates in close alignment with global guidelines and HQ. The position ensures absolute consistency of communication across every touchpoint, with the goal of strengthening our brand equity and increasing local audience and client engagement, recruitment, and loyalty with uncompromising brand consistency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure and monitor local branding relevance
- Identify the relevant global stories that will resonate with local audiences and evaluate the relevance of local needs at a strategic level, aligning them with global priorities.
- Communicate the Maison’s vision by integrating local branding specificities and needs, ensuring no deviation from global guidelines.
- Stay abreast of market and client trends to encourage forward-thinking within and beyond the team, always looking for pioneering and impactful ways of expressing the brand within its established codes.
Be the guardian of the brand codes and message consistency across the organization
- Develop a coherent local narrative and messaging strategy across all departments, including internal and external communication purposes and needs, ensuring that the execution of communication activities is strictly aligned with the Maison’s values and branding codes established by HQ.
- Provide a unifying force and singular focus on the execution of brand codes within the organization at large. In other words, act as the “Brand codes and values guardian” to ensure the creation of authentic brand experiences, both internally and externally.
Lead and develop the local creative strategy & content production
- Orchestrate the launch of new creative assets developed by Central teams, collaborating closely with the Communication Activations department and fostering a feedback loop culture to ensure that all creative assets are relevant and aligned with business stakeholders' needs.
- Lead the development and production of local creative content in close collaboration with HQ. Develop strategic creative agency briefs and direct creative execution, ensuring all local creations strictly align with international brand codes while remaining locally relevant.
- Drive the briefing, creative development, and production processes with partners (creative agencies) for local content development, securing necessary validations and support from HQ.
Ensure International alignment and co-constructive partnership with HQ
- Support and implement the international creative strategy at the local level.
- Ensure absolute alignment with this strategy in the use of creative assets.
- Guarantee a seamless sharing and validation process with HQ at the appropriate moments.
- Provide local insights and strategic planning inputs to enrich the global roadmap.
JOB PROFILE
Required Experience:
- 3–4 years of experience within the luxury industry in a communication role, or a strategic planning / creative role within a top-tier creative agency, demonstrating elevated creative and strategic thinking across all touchpoints.
- Ability to understand and activate a full communication ecosystem (PR, Media, and Events).
- Ability to develop and execute local creative content from concept to final production, in high alignment with global brand guidelines, collaborating closely with creative teams, agencies, and HQ.
- Experience in hands-on creative content project management and production (online & offline) with internal & external stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of, and strong affinity for, the Maison’s DNA, heritage, and values.
