Description

As the Economic Development Clerk II for the Borger Economic Development Corporation, you play a vital role in supporting the corporation’s efforts to drive economic growth and development. This advanced clerical position involves more responsibility than the Clerk I level, including handling complex administrative tasks, coordinating departmental activities, and assisting with data management and analysis.   1. Advanced Administrative Support: Manage complex scheduling, including coordinating meetings and events related to economic development projects. Oversee and streamline administrative procedures to enhance office efficiency.
  2. Document Preparation and Management: Prepare, review, and edit documents including correspondence, reports, proposals, and presentations to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain an organized filing system for essential records and documents.
  3. Data Management: Assist in collecting, entering, and analyzing economic data to support department initiatives. Prepare comprehensive reports that contribute to strategic decision-making.
  4. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Provide detailed information and assistance regarding department activities and projects.
  5. Event Coordination: Take a lead role in organizing departmental events, including logistics, guest lists, venue preparation, and materials distribution.
  6. Financial Record Keeping: Assist with budget preparation and tracking departmental expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Education: High school diploma required; associate degree in Business Administration, Communication, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least two years of clerical or administrative experience, preferably within an economic development, government, or business setting.
  • Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and keen attention to detail.
  • Personal Traits: Proactive, reliable, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and excellent interpersonal skills.
