Join UVA Imaging in Charlottesville! We’re looking for an experienced MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team.

What You'll Do
- Perform routine and advanced MRI exams.
- Screen patients and follow MRI safety protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment safely and effectively.
- Administer contrast as appropriate.
- Monitor patients throughout their exams.
- Explain procedures and help patients feel comfortable.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Work closely with radiologists and other clinical team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation and a safe work environment.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE:
- Up to 5 years experience as a MRI Technologist
EDUCATION:
- Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols.
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely.
- Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
