Physician Assistant | Interventional Pain & Endoscopic Spine Surgery
Epic Pain Management | San Antonio, Texas | Full-Time
Epic Pain Management is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our San Antonio team and work closely with one of our interventional pain physicians with advanced fellowship training in endoscopic spine surgery.
This opportunity is open to both new graduates ready to build their clinical and surgical skills and experienced PAs with a background in surgery, orthopedics, spine care, or another procedural specialty.
For a new graduate, this role offers the opportunity to learn directly through hands-on training, close physician mentorship, and exposure to both the clinical and surgical sides of spine care. For an experienced surgical PA, it offers the opportunity to bring an established skill set to a growing program while expanding into endoscopic spine surgery and interventional pain management.
You'll work alongside our physicians throughout the patient journey, including surgical evaluations, preoperative care, surgical assistance, and postoperative follow-up.
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Texas
- Current DEA license or ability to obtain
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experienced surgical PAs are also strongly encouraged to apply, particularly those with backgrounds in spine, orthopedics, neurosurgery, or other procedural specialties
- Prior pain management or endoscopic spine experience is not required
- Strong clinical judgment and eagerness to develop new skills
- Interest in interventional pain management, spine care, and procedural medicine
- Excellent communication and patient-engagement skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians and the clinical team
- Willingness to travel occasionally to surrounding San Antonio-area cities as needed
- A motivated, collaborative approach to patient care and professional development
