Description
- Partner with business leadership to co-develop and execute people strategies that support short- and long-term business objectives, including workforce planning, organization design, and talent supply.
- Provide data- and insight-driven recommendations on organizational capability, structure, and culture.
- Prepare human capital updates, HR policies, executive compensation proposals, succession plans, and risk items for the Board and its committees.
- Support governance of Board-level HR deliverables, ensuring accuracy, context, and alignment to enterprise strategy and regulatory expectations.
- Lead complex employee relations and disciplinary matters, investigations, and grievance processes with confidentiality, fairness, and legal compliance.
- Manage relationships with local authorities/union and employee representatives; lead collective bargaining, engagement, and industrial negotiation efforts where applicable.
- Represent the company at government or tribunal processes, as necessary, with legal/regulatory partners.
- Support talent review, succession planning, and leadership development programs for critical roles and leaders within India, aligned to broader APAC and global programs.
- Own leadership effectiveness consultation with aligned business leaders.
- Drive change management for HR-related initiatives within scope and purview, partnering with relevant COEs to deliver initiatives in market.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or related field. Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM / HRCI / equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a HR Business Partner or HR leadership role in a multinational or complex organization.
- Board exposure: experience preparing and presenting HR materials to Boards and executive committees is preferred.
- Employee/labor relations: demonstrated track record handling complex ER issues, investigations, and union/collective bargaining matters in India or similar jurisdictions.
- Regulatory knowledge: strong working knowledge of Indian labor law, employment practices, statutory requirements, and related compliance frameworks.
- Sector/industry: experience in a regulated or unionized environment is an advantage.
- Language: excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Data & analytics: demonstrated experience leveraging data to drive HR strategy and provide measurable outcomes.
