ABOUT ALGOMARKETING
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Activation Manager / Developer to power the technical execution of our client's marketing teams within the Algomarketing's Centre of Evolution.
This role combines email development, event technology setup, and audience activation — ensuring every campaign runs seamlessly from invitation through attendance, supporting the wider Email developers and teams.
You’ll build and manage the tools, templates, and automations that bring events to life. Working closely with the Events Audience & Data Operations Analyst and the Account Manager, you’ll translate activation requirements into efficient, scalable workflows.
This is an execution-driven role for someone who loves to build, test, and optimize. You will manage the full operational lifecycle of event communications and delegate handling. You’ll code dynamic, responsive communications; maintain internal booking systems; and ensure clean data flow across platforms.
Success comes from technical precision, speed, and reliability — ensuring audiences receive the right messages at the right time, registration systems sync flawlessly, and every activation is delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure RSVP, nomination, and registration flows for flagship and regional events.
- Manage multiple concurrent registration sites and related workflows.
- Set up and QA full communication suites: Save the Date, Invite, Reminders, Confirmations, Rejections, and Follow-ups.
- Asset Readiness & Gatekeeping:Ensuring all images, copy, and icons are 100% collected and finalized before development starts, eliminating the 1-2 hour delays we face chasing missing assets.
- Naming Conventions & Drive File Hygiene: Enforcing strict naming structures and organizing campaign files cleanly in Google Drive so nothing gets lost.
- Maintain and enhance internal activation tools built on Google Apps Script.
- Implement automation improvements and fix bugs to streamline data handling between platforms.
- Execute updates to HTML templates, components, and triggers.
- Raw Coding & Local HTML Adjustments:Building out the foundational HTML and handling local market layout variations.
- Direct Platform Deployment: Importing code, configuring settings, and launching campaigns directly inside internal tools. Live QA & Testing: Triggering internal test emails, checking live links, and debugging platform-specific rendering issues.
- Validate that data syncs accurately between internal booking systems, external RSVP tools, and emails.
- Conduct pre-launch and post-event checks to ensure all data reconciles correctly.
- Support post-event data close-out documentation and handoffs for performance tracking.
- Workflow & Segmentation Planning:Assisting with mapping out workflow steps, documenting processes, and setting up campaign logic outside of internal tools.
- Prepare and test on-the-day systems for events, including accreditation and check-in tools.
- Troubleshoot live activation or data integration issues in collaboration with event operations and vendor teams.
- Identify repeatable workflows and automate where possible to reduce manual setup time.
- Maintain clear documentation of activation builds, templates, and change logs.
- Pre-Flight Link QA & UTMs: Building destination URLs, ensuring proper UTM parameter tagging, and validating all redirects in our tracking sheets before deployment.
- Design Liaison & Asset Slicing: Working directly with Hinata and Mari to verify that Figma designs are technically feasible for email, and slicing/exporting web-ready images.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with Google Marketing, data analysts, and account managers for approvals and status alignment.
- Serve as the operational interface between strategy, audience data, and onsite readiness teams.
- Supporting all the CoE Dev roles with holiday coverage
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

- Strong understanding of email QA processes and deliverability considerations.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy standards for compliant audience handling.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to error-free deployments.
