Primary Function:
The Enterprise Data Analytics & Automation Specialist is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for connecting ERP systems to scalable analytics and automation platforms, transforming operational and financial data into real-time visibility across project execution, cost control, and resource management. Working with a high degree of independent judgment, this role owns the design and delivery of Alteryx-powered workflows, operational KPI frameworks, and executive dashboards serving Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Commercial teams across the full EPC project lifecycle. The position will be based in our Houston, Texas office located at 12301 Kurland Drive STE 400, Houston, TX 77034 and will report to Dashiell’s Sr. Director of ERP & Project Controls.
Duties & Responsibilities
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

Partner with Operations, Project Management, Finance, and Commercial leadership to design and deliver ERP-integrated analytics solutions, extracting, transforming, and reporting on ERP data to support project execution, cost tracking, and operational decision-making.

Support major EPC project launches, contract bids, and capital programs through ERP-sourced data modeling, cost-to-complete analysis, and variance reporting.

Develop and maintain operational KPI frameworks using Power BI and Alteryx that track EPC project performance, cost variances, schedule milestones, and resource efficiency.

Translate complex ERP and operational data into executive-ready dashboards and narratives that support leadership decision-making.

Design and maintain enterprise data pipelines integrating ERP systems, Salesforce, Azure Synapse, and SharePoint to consolidate data into unified reporting layers supporting financial close, project controls, and commercial reporting cycles.

Develop and govern Alteryx workflows, including Designer, Server, and Gallery administration, to automate data extraction, transformation, and delivery from ERP and other enterprise systems into Power BI and Azure reporting layers.

Ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and platform governance across Alteryx Server environments, including user provisioning, workflow scheduling, system upgrades, and integration with SQL Server, Oracle, and Azure.

Lead analytics workstreams within ERP implementation and migration projects, partnering with IT, Finance, and Operations to map data requirements, design reporting solutions, and validate data integrity.

Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for orders, KPIs, financials, and operational metrics accessible to technical and non-technical audiences.

Build and maintain Azure Synapse pipelines, Power BI data models, and DAX measures that surface EPC project and financial data in scalable, self-service dashboards.

Automate recurring manual reporting workflows to reduce manual effort across teams.

Architect and deploy end-to-end Alteryx automation workflows that eliminate recurring manual processes across EPC operations, integrating ERP, Salesforce, SharePoint, and Azure data sources.

Develop lightweight operational applications using Power Apps and Power Automate to surface ERP and project data directly to field teams, project managers, and regional operations.

Integrate GenAI and AI-assisted capabilities into operational workflows to automate recommendations and surface intelligent insights for project controls and commercial teams.

Collaborate across Finance, Commercial, Sales, Operations, and Engineering to align analytical priorities with enterprise-wide objectives.

Translate complex ERP and operational business requirements into scalable, governed analytics solutions, working independently across IT, Operations, and Finance stakeholders with minimal oversight.

Mentor analysts and contribute to team standards for documentation, data governance, and reproducibility.

Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
Required
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field required (4 years of directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise analytics, ERP integration, or data engineering, ideally within energy, utilities, EPC, or a similarly complex capital-intensive industry.

Advanced proficiency in Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server administration, including workflow governance, user provisioning, Gallery management, and enterprise platform integration.

Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience querying Oracle, SQL Server, and IBM iSeries, including ERP tool sets and backend data structures.

Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling) and Azure cloud analytics platforms (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Explorer).

Deep ERP system expertise, including data extraction, backend mapping, reporting tool sets, and cross-platform integration with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Ability to communicate complex analytical results clearly to commercial and executive audiences.

Preferred

Post-graduate education or certificate program in AI/ML, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

Alteryx Core or Advanced Certification (Designer and/or Server); Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals or equivalent cloud certification.

Familiarity with P6 Primavera or equivalent project controls/scheduling software.

Experience with Alteryx Server governance, including AD group management, network security, and platform administration.

Experience building AI-integrated analytics applications that automate commercial or operational workflows.

Background in ERP implementation or migration projects, including data validation, go-live support, and post-implementation reporting.

Experience acting as a strategic liaison between IT, business users, and external analytics partners, driving platform adoption, training, and governance at enterprise scale.
