About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

08

The Team:

The Financial Risk Analytics team provides state-of-the-art products and solutions to help financial institutions measure and manage their counterparty credit risk, market risk, and derivative valuation adjustments. Our innovative technology stack includes a fully vectorized pricing library, machine learning, and big data solutions, enabling scalability and precision. Our products are trusted by the largest tier-one banks as well as smaller niche firms globally.

This role sits within the London Go-to-Market/Business Development team and supports activity across sell-side and buy-side institutions. You will work as part of a global, collaborative team that values accuracy, curiosity, strong communication, and continuous improvement in the way we support clients and identify new business opportunities.

The Impact:

As a Business Development/Go-to-Market Junior Analyst, you will help the team turn data, pipeline information, and client materials into clear insights that support commercial decision-making. Your work will contribute to the quality of management information, the accuracy of opportunity tracking, and the effectiveness of client-facing presentations and demonstrations.

Success in this role will require attention to detail, the ability to deliver defined outputs to agreed timelines and quality standards, and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach that supports the wider team’s goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the London Go-to-Market/Business Development team with go-to-market activities targeting sell-side and buy-side institutions.

  • Prepare and present clear Management Information that provides insight into the global pipeline of opportunities.

  • Log, track, and maintain workflow for new business opportunities, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easy for the team to use.

  • Keep client presentations and supporting materials up to date and tailor them to prospective client use cases where needed.

  • Set up demo environments and support product demonstrations when required.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across Sales, Client Experience, and Product to support team goals, improve quality of outputs, and contribute to collaborative team discussions.

  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in capital markets, risk technology, or financial analytics business development.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to produce accurate analysis, reporting, or client materials to agreed timelines and quality standards.

  • Experience using Power BI, Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting or presentation tools.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to participate in team discussions and present information clearly.

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, manage priorities, and follow clear guidelines to determine an appropriate course of action.

  • Collaborative, supportive, and solution-oriented approach, with curiosity to generate ideas and improve the quality of outputs.

  • Interest in financial markets and willingness to support global stakeholders, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to accommodate client deadlines and time-zone differences.

  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in creating Management Information, pipeline reporting, dashboards, or analysis for sales or business development teams.

  • Familiarity with counterparty credit risk, market risk, derivative valuation adjustments, or financial risk analytics.

  • Exposure to product demonstrations, client presentations, or demo environments.

  • Experience working with global or cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Client Experience, Product, or related teams.

  • A proactive team player who takes initiative, contributes beyond assigned tasks, and seeks ways to improve processes and outputs.
