Certified law enforcement officers may be given a higher starting wage at the discretion of the Sheriff. 

Qualifications:  High school graduate or GED.; no conviction of a felony; valid driver's license; must be 21 years old and a U.S. Citizen. Applicants who meet minimum qualifications listed on the application will be eligible for the written testing.  ATTENTION:  Prior to completing the supplemental questions below, please review the https://ncc.nebraska.gov/ Law Enforcement Certification Standards. Physical standards may also be accessed through a provisional link at the bottom of the list of Law Enforcement Certification Standards.  Chapter 8 of the Nebraska Crime Commission on Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice sets forth specific rules and regulations of which we must comply.  If you do not meet these requirements you may be disqualified from our process.
