Job Summary
Partners closely with leadership to execute and enhance AEP’s investor relations strategy, effectively communicating the company’s financial performance and long-term value proposition to both internal and external stakeholders. Drives the development of investor-facing content, presentations, and communications; performs advanced financial analysis and market research; and supports relationship-building with investors, analysts, brokers, and rating agencies. What You'll Do:
Drive investor relations content creation, including earnings presentations, investor decks, strategic messaging, fact sheets, executive briefings, website content, and other communications.
Ensure messaging is accurate and aligned with AEP's strategy.
Monitor industry, regulatory, market, and company developments relevant to investor relations activities.
Maintain summaries and reports of key trends, news, analyst commentary, and market developments for the Investor Relations team and senior leadership.
Support earnings call-related activities, including development of key messages, analyst and investor Q&A preparation, consensus analysis and post-earnings market feedback assessments.
Support relationships with investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other financial community stakeholders.
Coordinate responses to investor inquiries with internal and external partners.
Support planning and execution of investor events, including the annual meeting, conferences, roadshows, and earnings calls.
Coordinate content, logistics, messaging, and event follow-up.
Perform financial analysis, valuation benchmarking, ownership analysis, investor targeting strategies, consensus tracking, and peer comparisons.
Collaborate with internal business partners, including Finance, Treasury, Accounting, Corporate Communications, Legal, Regulatory, and Strategy teams, to gather information and support investor relations initiatives and deliverables.
Identify and implement improvements to investor relations processes, reporting, tools, and engagement strategies.
Provide mentorship and serve as a subject matter expert in investor communications and market analysis.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business.
Experience: 6 years' experience in Finance or Accounting.
Additional Expectations:
Proficiency and expert-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
MBA or CPA preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Working knowledge of the business and competition.
Strong client focus and initiative.
