The Plastics Planner is responsible for process monitoring and optimization, quality control, documentation and reporting, equipment maintenance, training and support, continuance improvement and compliance and safety.
This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is part of the Beckman Coulter, Life Sciences Flow Cytometry Team located in Indianapolis, IN and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Create and/or organize a production schedule on a daily basis, and ensure that every output (level) is recorded appropriately in the correct system
- Make sure schedules are clearly communicated to the manufacturing team and there is a clear understanding of what is required to meet the order and needs of customers.
- Work hand-in-hand with other associates to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved.
The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience. Or, Masters' degree with 3 years’ experience
- Possess a sense of urgency, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of manufacturing and demand planning to drive production planning process.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Using material handling equipment including hoists, hoist inspections to move parts and skids
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. , bending, stooping, walking, ……
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Awareness of continuous improvement with participation in a kaizen project team is desirable.
- Manufacturing in an FDA regulated environment
