Description
The Technical Resilience Analyst will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s resilience posture, with a focus on AWS cloud environments. This role combines hands-on technical analysis, project delivery and business support to ensure systems are robust, compliant and recoverable. The successful candidate will drive resilience initiatives, support testing and compliance, and provide expert guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
Accountabilities:
Design and standardize resilience test strategies, scenarios, and reusable test cases, and enable product teams to execute effective resilience testing across Elsevier products.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the CoE to define, maintain, and drive adoption of resilience frameworks, standards and best practices across products.
Lead and support technical resilience enablement projects, including implementation of new controls and processes, while tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Manage resilience exceptions, track key metrics (e.g., RTO/RPO), report on compliance, support audits, and perform analysis of resilience-related incidents to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to embed resilience into system design and ensure consistent application of resilience principles across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in IT-related course (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems).
Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery, cloud infrastructure, and resilience planning, with the ability to design, implement, and support recovery strategies in complex enterprise environments.
2–5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, VPC, Multi-AZ architectures).
2–5 years of hands-on experience in resilience testing, disaster recovery, and recovery strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and risks.
Average to above-average communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.
AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect).
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of chaos engineering tools and practices.
Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and incident management tools.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to resilience.
Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.
