Are you in? Your role As a Senior Engineer Wafer Processing at Infineon Technologies Bipolar GmbH & Co. KG, you will be at the heart of process development and characterization for wafer and chip manufacturing. Your ability to analyze and optimize production processes will be essential in enhancing the performance and quality of our bipolar semiconductor devices. Key responsibilities in your new role Develop and characterize wafer manufacturing processes with a focus on chemical processes for bipolar semiconductor devices Plan and conduct necessary preliminary experiments on individual process parameters using statistical methods such as Design of Experiments (DoE) Perform chemical experiments in a laboratory environment Support the specification of manufacturing equipment , participate in supplier discussions , and contribute to the qualification of equipment for manufacturing processes Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams and transfer developed processes to production together with the process team Implement measures to increase yield and throughput within the scope of projects Your profile You are a quality-conscious and practically minded professional who approaches challenges with strong analytical and solution-oriented thinking. As a team player, you communicate clearly and effectively and are able to build successful working relationships quickly. Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A university degree in a scientific or engineering discipline , such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering , or a related field Ideally, initial professional experience in semiconductor manufacturing (frontend) and laboratory environments Knowledge of the safe handling of chemicals Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices as well as the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) An analytical mindset and excellent German and English language skills #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
