Job Description:

  • Lead design and implementation of the M&E system across Response projects developing and overseeing M&E frameworks, indicators, data collection tools, and reporting systems.
  • Oversee data quality reporting supervising data validation processes ensuring high-quality, accurate and timely results reports.
  • Strengthen learning, accountability, and evaluation processes coordinating evaluations, lessons-learned exercises, and feedback mechanisms to improve program performance and accountability.
  • Monitor project implementation and performance using mixed methods (qualitative, quantitative, participatory) for regular monitoring of project activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain Indicator Tracking Tables (ITTs) and ensuring high-quality reporting through updated and validated data from project teams and partners to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting.
  • Provide M&E technical support, training, and data quality assurance to field teams and partners building capacity of field staff and stakeholders through training on M&E tools, data collection, and reporting standards.
  • Support adaptation of logframes, technical approaches, and indicator frameworks with technical/emergency teams to refine logframes, define context-appropriate indicators, and ensure alignment with program objectives and donor requirements.
  • Conduct context analysis, including gender and protection assessments, and support community structures by leading or supporting needs assessments, including gender and protection analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate gender and protection mainstreaming ensuring gender and protection considerations are integrated into program design, implementation, and evaluation and safeguarding outcomes.
  • Proven professional experience (typically 3+ years) in monitoring and evaluation, program management, or related roles within development or humanitarian organizations, including leadership of M&E systems across multiple projects.
  • Strong experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, logframes, indicator tracking systems, and managing data quality assurance processes, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality analytical reports for donors and senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Proven professional experience (typically 3+ years) in monitoring and evaluation, program management, or related roles within development or humanitarian organizations, including leadership of M&E systems across multiple projects.

Strong experience in designing and implementing M&E frameworks, logframes, indicator tracking systems, and managing data quality assurance processes, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality analytical reports for donors and senior management.

Honors degree in relevant subject including development, statistics, mathematics and a high-level understanding of quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques including data processing tools such as SPSS, CSPro, EpiInfo and Excel. Experience working in emergency or complex operational contexts, including conducting assessments (e.g., needs, gender, protection), supporting field teams, and integrating M&E findings into program design and decision-making.

At least 2 years’ previous work experience; experience in MEAL work preferred.

Experience of data entry and working with data analysis; experience with statistical software is an asset.

Ability to communicate in a simple manner that can be understood by non-technical people.
