Salary: RPN 4 Year 1-3 Max $68.07 P/H

About the opportunity 

Join a passionate and supportive Learning and Development team dedicated to developing the next generation of mental health nurses. Working across inpatient, residential and community services, you'll play a key role in shaping a skilled, confident and compassionate workforce while making a meaningful impact on consumer care. 

In this role you will: 

The role is designed to be hands-on, with the CNE spending as much time as practicable with the Mid Year Intake Graduate Nurses, providing demonstration, supervision and support in the delivery of care, clinical tasks, administrative tasks and other axillary care tasks that a consumer may require during their care inpatient and community settings.

Be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, leading evidence-based education, fostering recovery-oriented practice and contributing to the recruitment, development and retention of the future mental health workforce.

Excellent clinical, teaching, communication, time management and organisational skills, with the ability to adapt, prioritise and solve problems in a dynamic clinical environment. 

A positive, flexible and evidence-based approach to clinical education, supervision and supporting staff to deliver safe, high-quality mental health care. 

The ability to build respectful relationships, work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and foster a positive learning culture that supports growth, confidence and continuous improvement. 

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: 

• Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)  
• Bachelor of Nursing  
• Post Graduate Diploma or Masters of Mental Health  
• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check  
• Proof of current Influenza Vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
• Certificate 4 in Training and assessment desirable  
• Previous experience across inpatient and community mental health
