Job Description:
Junior Finance Automation Specialist
The Opportunity
We create journeys most people only dream about: voyages aboard luxury cruise ships, yacht expeditions through the Galápagos, river journeys, photographic safaris in Africa, private-jet adventures and camper expeditions across Bolivia—and that is only the beginning. Our portfolio includes some of the world’s most celebrated travel brands, including Abercrombie & Kent, Crystal, Cox & Kings and Ecoventura.
Over the past three years, we have fundamentally redesigned our technology landscape. We have built new applications, connected platforms and transformed the digital foundations of our business. Now we are approaching the final—and perhaps most critical—stage of that journey: reinventing our global financial systems.
We are replacing our current finance platforms with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, creating a fully connected ecosystem spanning our enterprise data warehouse, reservation platform, property management systems, payment solutions, purchasing applications and field operations.
To help complete this transformation, we are expanding our IT Finance Automation team with Junior Finance Automation Specialists.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to keep systems running. It is for someone who wants to understand how a global business works, challenge established processes and help build a smarter way of operating.
Our organisation spans more than 45 countries, together with vessels, camps, lodges and other properties around the world. The programme will touch every part of the business while consolidating financial information at our headquarters in Monaco.
English is our official business language, but our daily conversations cross borders and cultures—Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and many other languages are part of life here.
Your Mission
You will work where Finance, technology and global operations meet. Your role will be to support our teams today while helping create the systems they will rely on tomorrow.
You will:
- Support users in their day-to-day use of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Investigate system issues, identify their causes and coordinate practical solutions.
- Create test scenarios and participate in user acceptance testing for new functionality, system changes and releases.
- Produce clear process documentation, user guides and training materials.
- Monitor automated processes and investigate errors, exceptions and data inconsistencies.
- Analyse finance processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate them.
- Assist with the configuration and testing of Business Central functionality.
- Support processes including general ledger, accounts payable, purchasing, banking, fixed assets and financial reporting in liaison with the respective process owners.
- Help connect accounts receivable and invoicing processes managed through our reservation platforms with the wider finance ecosystem.
- Contribute to the design, development and testing of new functionality.
- Support the migration of each company from its legacy finance system to Business Central.
- Help integrate our companies with reservation platforms, property management systems, payment solutions, treasury applications, budgeting and controlling tools, and specialist purchasing systems.
- Work with Finance, IT, operational teams and external partners across multiple countries and time zones.
What You Bring
You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for strong foundations, genuine curiosity and the confidence to learn quickly.
You should bring:
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and core finance processes.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Infor SunSystems or a comparable finance or ERP platform.
- Confidence working with data, spreadsheets and structured business information.
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to translate business needs into understandable system requirements.
- Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to question how things have always been done.
- The ability to work comfortably in an international and multicultural environment.
- Comfortable communicating with non-technical users.
Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage:
Treasury management applications.
- Specialised ist purchasing platforms such as AMOS, MXP or Crunchtime.
- Business intelligence and data warehousing.
- Microsoft Power BI or comparable reporting and analytics platforms.
- Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- SQL Server Management Studio.
- Azure SQL.
- System integrations, data migration or finance automation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, ideally with an accounting or finance focus.
- At least two years of experience supporting finance systems, ERP platforms or IT-enabled finance processes.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Spanish or Portuguese would be particularly valuable.
- Italian, French or other languages would also be welcome.
What We Offer
The opportunity to join an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly collaborative team.
- A genuinely international working environment spanning more than 45 countries.
- Hands-on involvement in a major global finance-transformation programme.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, enterprise integrations, data platforms and automation.
- The chance to learn from experienced Finance, IT and operational professionals.
- The freedom to bring ideas, challenge assumptions and make a visible difference.
- A role in a business that does not just talk about extraordinary journeys—it creates them.
Who Will Thrive Here?
Someone curious enough to ask “why?”, practical enough to find the answer and bold enough to propose something better.
You may be early in your career, but you should be ready to take ownership, learn continuously and contribute to a transformation with truly global reach.
Equal Opportunity
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and welcome candidates from different backgrounds, cultures and experiences.
If you are analytical, curious and excited by the idea of using technology to transform Finance, we encourage you to apply—even if you do not meet every preferred qualification. Potential, perspective and the willingness to learn matter to us.
EEO Statement
Abercrombie & Kent is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
