Job Summary
3rd Shift | 1100p-0715a Sun-Thu
Research Blvd., Austin, TX
- Set up, configure, and support manufacturing equipment used in wave solder, selective solder, press-fit, and router operations.
- Create, edit, and troubleshoot machine programs to support production requirements and process improvements.
- Diagnose and resolve process-related quality issues, yield concerns, and production defects.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and provide technical guidance to production operators.
- Perform line changeovers and equipment configuration changes.
- Collect and document production data including scrap, downtime, defects, and process performance metrics.
- Support process validation activities, engineering projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform basic corrective maintenance and escalate equipment-related issues when necessary.
- Follow established escalation procedures to support manufacturing uptime and quality objectives.
- Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Quality teams to drive process improvements.
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing technician, process technician, engineering technician, equipment technician, or similar technical role.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience supporting production in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience within electronics manufacturing, PCB, PCBA, SMT, or through-hole assembly environments.
- Experience supporting wave solder, selective solder, press-fit, router, or similar automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience creating, editing, or maintaining machine programs.
- Experience analyzing process defects, yield issues, scrap, and downtime data.
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred but not required.
- Strong operators with demonstrated technical aptitude and troubleshooting experience are encouraged to apply.
