The Industrial Engineer – Operational Excellence is responsible for improving manufacturing efficiency, optimizing production processes, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The role combines industrial engineering expertise with operational excellence principles to drive productivity, reduce waste, enhance quality, and deliver sustainable performance

What will you be doing?

  • The Industrial Engineer – Operational Excellence is responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization. This includes conducting time and motion studies, balancing manpower and machine capacity, performing capacity planning, and maintaining key production data within the ERP system.

  • The role focuses on driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean methodologies, workflow optimization, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination. The incumbent will identify opportunities to enhance throughput, improve operational performance, and establish standard work processes to ensure consistency in quality and productivity.

  • Working closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, HSE, and Operations, the Industrial Engineer will support factory layout planning, manufacturing cell design, material flow improvements, and business process enhancements. The role also ensures compliance with HSE, sustainability, and energy policies while supporting the site's growth and operational excellence objectives.

What will you need to be successful?

  • The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the medical device industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD is required, along with knowledge of time study methodologies such as MTM, MODAPTS, and MOST.

  • Candidates should have a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement principles, with the ability to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving capabilities, and communication skills are essential for success in the role.

  • The role requires the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment and support operational excellence initiatives. Occasional travel may be required, with travel expectations of less than 10%.
