What would you do? The Quality Assurance (QA) & Loan Auditing Analyst is responsible for performing independent reviews of commercial loan transactions to ensure accuracy, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance across the credit lifecycle. This role safeguards operational integrity by validating data accuracy, documentation completeness, and process controls from origination through booking and servicing. The analyst works closely with fulfillment, servicing, and credit teams to identify process gaps, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement within U.S. commercial lending operations

Roles and Responsibilities: •Responsibilities/Authorities 1. Quality Assurance Review • Conduct pre and post booking quality checks on commercial loan transactions to verify accuracy and compliance with credit approval, legal documentation, and bank policies. • Validate key data elements (borrower, facility, collateral, pricing, covenant terms) against source systems and executed documents. • Perform sample-based and risk-based quality reviews to assess operational accuracy and adherence to procedures. • Identify recurring errors, control breakdowns, or documentation discrepancies, and escalate findings promptly. 2. Loan Auditing • Perform periodic loan audits covering origination, booking, funding, and servicing stages. • Ensure all documentation (UCC filings, insurance, guarantees, collateral perfection, etc.) complies with regulatory and internal standards. • Conduct data integrity checks across systems (Loan IQ, AFS, nCino, etc.) to ensure alignment between operational, accounting, and reporting platforms. • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing control evidence, walkthrough documentation, and remediation reports. • Evaluate the adequacy of operational controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks. 3. Compliance & Risk Management • Ensure compliance with federal banking regulations and corporate policies (FDIC, OCC, SOX, GLBA, and Fair Lending requirements). • Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Legal teams to resolve audit findings and track remediation actions. • Monitor adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance metrics to ensure process reliability and accuracy. 4. Reporting & Insights • Prepare detailed QA and audit reports summarizing findings, trends, and root-cause analysis. • Develop scorecards and dashboards to measure error rates, control effectiveness, and team performance. • Present audit outcomes and improvement recommendations to leadership and stakeholders. • Contribute to process documentation, control matrices, and procedure updates. 5. Process Improvement & Governance • Participate in periodic control reviews, procedure enhancements, and system testing for new process implementations. • Provide feedback to training teams to address recurring operational gaps. • Partner with transformation and automation teams to enhance data validation and reduce manual touchpoints.BCom
