We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher with a strong commitment to early childhood education to work at our Little Scholars Site. As a teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of our children. Join us in fostering a love for learning and shaping the future generation!
Little Scholars is a mixed age early childhood classroom that operates in conjunction with the MOMentum Network, an nonprofit supporting single moms seeking higher education.
Little Scholars is located at 1152 Lincoln Park Lane, Chattanooga, TN 37403
What You Get:
- Fair Pay That Grows With You: Start at $11/hour if you only have a high school education and little experience; from $13/hour with a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate. If you have more education or experience, you can earn up to $18-19/hour.
- Full-time, Monday - Friday

What You’ll Do:
- Keep children safe and engaged during play, learning, and daily routines.
- Lead fun activities that help kids grow in how they think, move, and get along with others.
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Work closely with other teachers, parents, and volunteers.
- Watch for health needs and help children as needed.
What You Need:
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Have prior experience working with children in a classroom or group setting
- Have patience, compassion, and creativity necessary for working with young children.
- Be reliable
- Be able to work well with other team members and parents
