Description

Develop compact models using both physics-based and behavioral modeling approaches to accurately represent the electrical, thermal, and electro-thermal characteristics of power semiconductor devices, particularly high-voltage MOSFETs, JFETs, diodes, and IGBTs in silicon (Si) and silicon carbide (SiC) technologies Convert existing baseline models into Verilog-A and develop converters to translate Verilog-A models back into SPICE Implement new methodologies for the optimization of physics-based device compact models, ensuring good convergence and portability across multiple commonly used simulation platforms Verify compact models using provided or self-developed application-oriented test circuits Evaluate device behavior in the presence of parasitic application environments and analyze their representation through different modeling approaches Take responsibility for the continuous advancement of modeling methodologies and measurement techniques Support application engineers in solving complex technical challenges and serve as a key contact for aligning compact model strategies with other compact modeling groups within Infineon Act as the interface to the Compact Model Coalition (CMC) Independently define tasks, priorities, and approaches within the area of responsibility, demonstrating a high degree of ownership and decision-making autonomy Operate with significant autonomy, taking responsibility for defining work packages, setting priorities, and driving technical solutions independently University degree or PhD in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline Extensive professional experience (10+ years) in semiconductor and device physics, with a strong focus on compact modeling and simulation tools Experience in the application of AI techniques for compact modeling and model development Knowledge of methods to improve compact model performance, particularly regarding simulation convergence and runtime optimization Proficiency in Verilog-A for the implementation and development of compact models Experience with optimization and parameter extraction techniques for the calibration and tuning of compact models Ability to work independently with strong self-management and prioritization skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially in model performance Effective communicator with proven stakeholder management experience Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with various users of simulation environments High attention to detail and quality, particularly in model calibration, implementation, and validation Organized and methodical working style with robust documentation and reporting skills Agile learner with an innovative mindset, including AI-based approaches in compact modeling We are on a journey to create the best Infineon for everyone.
