The Sustainable SNHU Online Engagement Eco Rep serves as a sustainability ambassador for SNHU's online student community. This student will support the growth and engagement of the Sustainable SNHU community by facilitating virtual conversations, creating educational content, fostering peer-to-peer connections, promoting sustainability opportunities, and encouraging participation in sustainability initiatives across the university. The Sustainable SNHU Eco Rep helps ensure online learners have meaningful opportunities to engage with sustainability topics, programs, events, and actions regardless of location.

Job Responsibilities
Sustainable SNHU Community Engagement
- Support the growth and development of the Sustainable SNHU online community.
- Facilitate discussions and conversations related to sustainability topics.
- Welcome and engage new community members.
- Encourage participation in sustainability initiatives, campaigns, and events.
Content Development & Communication
- Create engaging sustainability-related content including discussion prompts, educational posts, articles, polls, and resource sharing.
- Assist with promoting sustainability programs and events to online learners.
- Highlight sustainability success stories from students and university initiatives.
- Help maintain a consistent and welcoming online presence.
Program Development & Outreach
- Assist in planning and implementing virtual sustainability engagement activities.
- Develop opportunities for online students to connect around sustainability interests.
- Support sustainability awareness campaigns throughout the academic year.
- Gather feedback from participants to help improve programming.
Data Collection & Assessment
- Track engagement metrics and participation data.
- Assist with reporting outcomes of Sustainable SNHU initiatives.
- Help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
- Support assessment efforts related to online sustainability engagement.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Office of Sustainability staff and fellow Eco Reps.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.

Qualifications
Required
- Current SNHU student in good standing.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Interest in sustainability and community engagement.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable using virtual communication platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred
- Experience participating in online communities or student organizations.
- Experience creating social media or digital content.
- Knowledge of sustainability concepts and practices.
- Experience facilitating discussions or leading groups.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 10-20 hours per week.
- Attend Eco Rep team meetings and trainings.
- Participate in sustainability events and initiatives as schedules permit.

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $13.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
