Lead of Operations

Setka Cup is a professional sports league focused on creating and developing high-quality sports competitions.

We organize tournaments and manage the full event cycle — from planning schedules and coordinating participants to running matches, managing results, and continuously improving tournament operations.

As we continue to develop our sports portfolio, we are looking for a Lead of Operations - Beach Volleyball to take ownership of the operational side of our beach volleyball direction.

About the role

This is a key operational role with direct responsibility for how our beach volleyball tournaments are organized and delivered.

We are looking for someone who knows beach volleyball from the inside - understands how tournaments work, knows the competition environment, and can coordinate multiple teams and processes while keeping everything running smoothly.

You will take ownership of tournament operations from start to finish: planning and preparation, tournament-day execution, player and team coordination, operational data, incident management, and post-tournament analysis.

But this role is not only about keeping existing processes running. You will also have the opportunity to build, improve, and scale the way our beach volleyball operations work.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership of the operational management of beach volleyball tournaments across all venues.
• Develop and coordinate the tournament calendar.
• Ensure tournaments are organized according to competition rules, regulations, and internal procedures.
• Coordinate all teams and functions involved in tournament operations.
• Manage player and team statuses, including roster changes, substitutions, withdrawals, and disputes.
• Oversee all operational activities on tournament days.
• Quickly resolve unexpected situations before, during, and after tournaments.
• Work closely with the Integrity team and participate in incident management and investigations.
• Ensure the accuracy of match schedules, team rosters, results, and other operational data.
• Review operational data before it is submitted to the Finance team.
• Analyze tournaments, incidents, and operational issues to identify areas for improvement.
• Introduce and implement improvements to make tournament operations more efficient and reliable.
• Help build scalable processes as the beach volleyball direction grows.

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on experience with beach volleyball tournaments, sports projects, or event operations.
• Strong understanding of beach volleyball competitions, regulations, and tournament processes.
• Ability to coordinate several teams and processes at the same time.
• Confidence in making decisions in fast-changing and unexpected situations.
• Strong ownership, responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Confident user of Google Sheets / Excel.
• English at Intermediate level or higher.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Ability to work from the office.

It would be a strong advantage if you have:

• Experience with commercial beach volleyball tournaments.
• Experience building, improving, or scaling operational processes.
