Description
The Commercial Development Associate will support the Business Development team by managing the commercial process behind customer rate requests, vendor procurement, and pricing activities. This role serves as a key link between customers, vendors, operations and the commercial team, ensuring accurate pricing, timely responses and vendor data management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial and Pricing Support
- Support the Business Development team by processing incoming customer and internal rate requests
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing
- Collect, analyze and validate vendor rates to support customer quotations
- Ensure quotations are prepared accurately and delivered within required timelines
- Ensure the sales email box is accurately maintained, updated and managed
Procurement and Vendor Management
- Enter and maintain pricing and vendor information in the system database
- Update and ensure accuracy of vendor rates, contracts and pricing agreements
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing and availability
- Identify and flag discrepancies in pricing provided by vendors
- Maintain organized records of vendor communications and contracts
- Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers and service providers
- Track and maintain detailed records of vendor service performance, including service failures, delays and issue resolution
Vendor Audits and Compliance Support
- Coordinate and support annual vendor audits to ensure required documentation, pricing and compliance information are maintained
- Coordinate with vendors to collect updated information and ensure audits are completed on time
- Maintain audit records for all key suppliers and service providers
Administrative and Cross-functional Support
- Work with the Regional Manager to support existing operational needs and identify future opportunities

Success Measures / KPIs
- Yearly evaluation and semi-annual review
- KPIs to include quote turnaround time, quotation accuracy, vendor database accuracy, audit completion rate, pricing discrepancy resolution and quality of reporting/dashboard support
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or 3 + years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, procurement or a related industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions and deal with a variety of variables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel. Experience with other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Work Environment: Office with occasional vendor and customer visits
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform all basic calculations.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, write and speak the English language fluently; Mandarin, Korean or Hindi is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
