The End User Services Core Computing Technology Manager is responsible for engineering and advancing the core endpoint computing experience across the Windows endpoint ecosystem. This role manages modern endpoint management practices to deliver secure, compliant, and stable releases across Windows Physical and Virtual PCs, firmware, drivers, operating systems, and enterprise browsers, while driving a consistent and high-quality user experience across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Mange Windows endpoint engineering across laptops, desktops, virtual pcs leveraging Microsoft Intune, Autopatch, and other 3rd party products including (Patch My PC, WorkSpaceDNA)
- Design, implement, and continuously improve modern endpoint management practices using Microsoft Intune to support secure configuration, policy deployment, compliance enforcement, and scalable device management.
- Own endpoint release readiness and lifecycle governance to ensure compliant deployments, stable platform performance, and a consistent end-user experience across enterprise computing environments.
- Lead the strategy and execution for end-user device delivery through cloud-based provisioning zero-touch deployment including autopilot.
- Use Digital Employee Experience and telemetry platforms such as Nexthink and Endpoint Analytics in Intune to monitor device health, performance trends, user experience, and opportunities for proactive improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex endpoint issues across endpoint management, endpoint security, operating system, browser, application, and device layers, applying structured root cause analysis and durable remediation.
- Develop PowerShell-based automations, scripts, and remediations to streamline engineering workflows, reduce manual effort, improve compliance, and accelerate issue resolution.
- Drive process and innovation in core validation in regards to operating system updates, patches, drivers, security baselines, configuration profiles leveraging GenAI and Computer Use Agents (CUA’s).
- Partner closely with Productivity and Collaboration (P&C), Information Security Risk Management (ISRM), and other cross-functional technology teams to align endpoint solutions with business, security, and compliance requirements.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment guidance to support sustainable service delivery and consistent execution.
- Evaluate new tools, platform capabilities, and engineering patterns that strengthen endpoint reliability, automation, observability, and user experience.
- Independently analyze problems, assess risk, make sound technical decisions, and drive issues to resolution with limited oversight in a complex enterprise environment.
- Lead and mentor highly technical engineers/analysts responsible for endpoint and application-lifecycle management through your expertise and experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in endpoint engineering, endpoint management, or end user computing roles.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Windows endpoint engineering, including PC hardware, firmware, drivers, and operating system patching.
- Experience managing modern endpoints with Microsoft Intune, PatchMyPC, and Workspace DNA, including device configuration, compliance, application deployment, reporting, and remediation.
- Familiarity with enterprise browser management for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
- Experience with DEX and endpoint analytics platforms such Endpoint Analytics in Intune.
- Knowledge of application packaging, packaging automation, and software deployment practices for enterprise endpoints.
- Experience diagnosing issues across endpoint management tools, endpoint security controls, and device operating environments.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills with the ability to create automations, remediations, and operational tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across infrastructure, security, productivity, and risk management teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting regulated, compliance-driven, or highly controlled enterprise environments.
- Experience with proactive remediation, endpoint baselines, update rings, and automation-first service operations.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives, influence standards, and mentor peers across endpoint engineering practices.
