Special Education Paraprofessional – Full Time Colorado Springs, CO | K–12 School Setting$18–$25/hour
HealthPRO Pediatrics is seeking a full-time Special Education Paraprofessional to support students in a K–12 school setting in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is located at one school location, providing consistency for both the paraprofessional and the students they support.
The Special Education Paraprofessional will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service professionals to help students access their educational programs and reach their individual goals.

Responsibilities
- Carries out instructional programs and lessons in various learning environments as designated in the lesson plan
- Works one-on-one with students to implement specific programming (Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior Training, etc.)
- Monitors behavior programs and reward systems for students
- Trained and able to perform behavior management through Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques when appropriate
- Accompanies and assists the students while in the classroom setting
- Assists individual student in performing activities instructed by a teacher
- Works one-on-one and with small groups
- Helps to resolve student disciplinary issues
- Performs tasks for student(s) such as meal preparation, feeding, and lunch clean-up
- Provides initial first aid/emergency care
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements for education - High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
- Teaching Assistant/Paraprofessional certification required where applicable
- Prefer someone with interest in pursing a therapy or educational career
- Basic computer and web based programs experience, such as Google meets, chat, etc.
- Need to possess good written and verbal skills
- Personable individual who enjoys working with Teachers, Parents, and Students from Kindergarten to 12th grade
- Will be working alongside Classroom Teachers
