Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
Job Summary The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of materials, products, and supplies in a fast‑paced industrial environment. This role requires strong organization, communication, and accuracy to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are handled efficiently and safely.
Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:
- Manages all incoming and outgoing shipments, materials, and supplies.
- Communicates with logistics staff, customer service teams, drivers, and vendors regarding shipment status.
- Tracks, traces, and updates records for all inbound and outbound freight.
- Unloads deliveries promptly and organizes, sorts, and stocks materials.
- Maintains accurate logs, inventory counts, and scanning records.
- Engages professionally with drivers and vendors.
- Provides support to additional warehouse or production tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Stock scanning & sorting
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking
- Pulling, packing, and loading
- Strong written, computer, and verbal communication skills
- Strong time‑management skills and sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Relevant warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving experience preferred
- Ability to operate material‑handling equipment is a plus
- Must follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
6 months logistics, retail, or customer service experience
Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
Capable of building wood crates and pallets for shipping product
Must speak English
Must be a US citizen'
