General Manager - Cote d'Ivoire | Shipping and Logistics
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to work for a leading international shipping and logistics business in the Cote d'Ivoire.
As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the business unit's profitability, overseeing all operational, commercial, and administrative activities. Your contributions will be instrumental in the success of the business in Cote d'Ivoire. Responsibilities will include:
The role will involve:
- General freight forwarding operations (land, air, and sea)
- Industrial, mining and oil and gas project logistics
- Overseeing sales – including hands-on activities to win new business and maintaining key client relationships
- Maximising revenue generation and growing the group's market position in Senegal
- Full P&L responsibilities
- Management, training and development of the local workforce (operations and sales)
- Work closely with regional offices and other senior management within the business
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry is a must.
- A track record of success across both operations, developing client relationships, and increasing profitability/market share.
- Experience working in West or Central Africa is highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English and French is a must.
