job summary  We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help us implement manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products. ResponsibilitiesEvaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speedStudy production and machine requirementsDevelop and test effective automated and manual systemsDesign and install equipmentOrganize and manage manufacturing workflows and resourcesIntegrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport)Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations and network performanceResolve issues and delays in productionFind ways to reduce costs and maximize qualityTrain staff in new and existing processesCollaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliersEnsure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulationsUpgrade systems and processes with new technologyRequirementsPrevious experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar roleKnowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool designFamiliarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniquesCommitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulationsWell-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)Project management skillsProblem-solving abilityTeamwork skillsAbility to occasionally work late shiftsDegree in Engineering; post-graduate degree is a plus
