NuVybe City Operator (OKC/Edmond) — Community & Partnerships (Part-Time)

NuVybe, a local-first social app, revolves around real-time moments called “Vybes” that have a time limit of 1 to 72 hours. The app’s objective is to help users discover what’s happening in their area and encourage them to participate. We’re currently conducting a 3-month sprint in Oklahoma City and Edmond, and we’re seeking a motivated City Operator to build momentum. This role involves onboarding local hosts and businesses and recruiting active users who will actively post and attend events. It’s a startup position that offers high ownership, a fast-paced environment, and valuable real-world experience. Your responsibilities will include: - Engaging with local venues such as gyms, coffee shops, bars, and event hosts to onboard them (using a simple checklist).- Recruiting active local users, particularly students and young professionals, who will actively participate in posting and attending events.- Promoting a weekly “Tonight” moment with a specific location, time, and theme to drive user engagement and generate posts.- Collecting feedback and analyzing patterns on a weekly basis to provide insights and improve the app’s functionality. Weekly expectations are straightforward and measurable: - Send 10 outreach messages or initiate 5 conversations.- Follow up with 5 individuals.- Onboard 2 hosts or businesses or recruit 10 new active users (the goal is to achieve both over time).- Send a weekly recap message summarizing your achievements. This role is ideal for individuals who are outgoing, comfortable interacting with people in person, and consistent in their actions. If you reside in Oklahoma City or Edmond and have a good understanding of the local scene (or are eager to learn it quickly), this position is a great fit for you. Additionally, if you’re motivated by building something from scratch and have startup experience, this role aligns well with your interests. Requirements for this position include: - No degree is required.- While specific experience is not mandatory, it is highly valued.- Reliability, coachability, and a willingness to work in-person locally are essential qualities. Compensation for this role is $250 per week, which equates to approximately 10 hours of work per week. Performance bonuses are available after the first two weeks based on the results achieved.
