Security Officer

Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Multi-Shift (Hours will vary based on client requirements)
 

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and observant Unarmed Multi-Shift Security Officers to support security operations at assigned locations throughout the Denver area. This position is suited for professionals who can adapt to changing schedules, maintain a visible presence, and respond appropriately to safety concerns.

The ideal candidate is alert, professional, and comfortable interacting with the public while following established procedures. Officers will help maintain a secure environment through routine foot patrols, access monitoring, incident documentation, and courteous customer service. No firearm is required for this position.
 

What You Will Do

• Conduct regular foot patrols to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential safety hazards.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, and access control equipment to help identify and address security concerns.
• Verify identification, issue visitor credentials when applicable, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, suspicious behavior, and other reported incidents.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting patrol activity, observations, incidents, and policy violations.
• Assist visitors, employees, and other individuals with questions while maintaining a professional and approachable presence.
• Follow assigned post orders, site procedures, and company policies consistently.
• Help enforce property rules and access restrictions in a fair, respectful, and professional manner.
• Inspect assigned areas, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, and emergency exits, as directed.
• Communicate relevant concerns and updates to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
• Remain available for changing assignments and additional hours based on operational needs.
   

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1–2 years of professional security experience.
• Ability to remain on your feet and walk for extended periods during a shift.
• Ability to patrol both indoor and outdoor areas, including stairways, elevators, and emergency exits.
• Strong observation skills and the ability to recognize and report unusual activity.
• Ability to respond calmly and promptly to emergencies or unexpected situations.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work any schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.
• Ability to successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
• Ability to complete drug screening if required for the assignment.
• Completion of all required Citadel Security USA onboarding procedures.
• Active security officer license or registration, as required by applicable local and state laws for the assigned location.
• Eligibility for driver clearance if assigned duties require patrol or emergency response driving.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Familiarity with access control procedures, surveillance equipment, incident reporting, and emergency response protocols.
• Experience following written procedures and maintaining accurate activity logs.
• Ability to adjust quickly to different assignments, locations, and operational priorities.
