Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Control in Shepherdsville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with site stakeholders. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering the technology-focused location in accordance with established procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items and activities to appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas.
• Monitor entry points, screening equipment, and surrounding areas for unusual activity; help to deter unauthorized access and maintain accurate screening-related records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and communication procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
