About the Role
The Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America Converting Team is currently searching for Manufacturing Supervisor. This position will be based at our facility in Bordentown, New Jersey.
The Manufacturing Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production operations. As a frontline leader and safety role model, this position is responsible for achieving production targets on time, within quality specifications, and according to operational standards. The role serves as the first point of contact for safety, quality, environmental, and employee-related issues, while driving continuous improvement and loss elimination initiatives. By optimizing labor, materials, and equipment resources, monitoring key performance indicators, and coaching and developing team members, the Team Leader ensures operational excellence, employee engagement, and the successful execution of business objectives.
The position hands-on training on the first shift Monday to Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM, before moving into a Weekend shift Friday to Sunday 5:00AM to 5:00PM.

What You Will Do
- Consistently demonstrate safe work practices and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Act as the first point of contact for managing incidents related to safety, quality, and environmental concerns, as well as handling disciplinary actions.
- Identify and address safety hazards, investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct regular safety discussions and coach employees on safe work practices and behaviors.
- Ensure adherence to essential operational standards and procedures within the team and on the production line.
- Participates in the implementation of product initiatives and projects in the line.
- Ensure team’s compliance with operational standards (safety, quality, maintenance, center lining (CL), cleaning, inspection, lubrication (CIL), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), etc.).
- Execute onboarding processes and facilitate continuous learning for the team.
- Optimize team resources during shifts to achieve the expected production results, ensuring efficient use of time, materials, and labor.
- Oversee shift operations to ensure productivity, quality, efficiency, cost control, and customer requirements are achieved.
- Monitor production performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring accurate reporting and timely resolution of operational issues.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to specifications, quality standards, and production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
- Verify materials, components, and work orders are accurate and available to support production requirements.
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.
Who You Are
- High School Diploma, Technical Degree or equivalent.
- Five years of manufacturing operational experience.
- 1+ year of experience in supervisory or team leadership role, with proven success in leading and motivating teams.
- Experience in team management, including planning, task delegation, performance tracking, and providing feedback to team members.
- Strong coaching skills.
- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions, as well as handle conflict and confrontation.
- Good planning, organizing and prioritizing skills.
- Mechanical trouble-shooting skills.
- Knowledge and experience using manufacturing best practices and applied improvement processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Compensation and Benefits:
Expected Compensation
Pay range: $62,000 to $88,000 + Annual Bonus + full benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
