Local Grocery Delivery Truck Driver | $80,000 – $110,000 Annual Average
Hey drivers, are you sick of burning your life away on interstate runs when you could be pulling six-figure local paychecks and sleeping in your own bed after every single shift? I’m looking for reliable operators right now to fill our high-demand local grocery fleet.
Step into a high-earning local driving career that brings in an estimated annual average of $80,000 to $110,000, with dedicated drivers maximizing their W-2 over $95,000+ by consistently picking up 6th-day shifts.
Your pay structure rewards your hustle with a competitive base of $0.60 to $0.66 per mile, stacked with daily rates of $60 – $75, stop pay ranging from $20.50 to $22.50, safety training pay at $20/hour, and an extra $75 bonus for working 6th days.
Operating out of a 250-mile radius, you'll haul multi-stop grocery loads in 48' or 53' dry vans and reefers (averaging 2 loads per day with 1–3 stops per trailer). Routes cover regional stores, including Long Island and NYC boroughs (excluding Manhattan), backed by extensive city training to build your confidence.
Choose between two consistent local schedules—Friday through Tuesday or Tuesday through Saturday—with starts around 10:00 AM and heavy 12 to 14-hour daily shifts that still get you home every single day.
You'll drive automatic day cabs with slip-seating (though the team always does their best to keep you in the same rig).
To qualify, bring at least 3 months of experience on the table, reliable personal transportation to and from the yard daily, and successfully clear a mandatory pre-employment DOT drug screening (urine and hair follicle tests), background check, and a DOT physical.
