Part-Time Graphic Designer (Merchandising) (Bellevue - Hybrid)

Position Overview:
Dough Zone is seeking a contract Part-Time Graphic Designer (Merchandising) to support a wide range of creative needs across marketing, in-store experience, and brand development. This role is ideal for a highly adaptable designer who has great experience in packaging design or merchandise. You will work closely with the Marketing team and cross-functional partners to bring the Dough Zone brand to life across multiple touchpoints, ensuring consistency, quality, and thoughtful execution. This position can be structured on a project-based or hourly basis, depending on scope and availability.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent working knowledge of graphic design fundamentals, organization and communications.
• Design a variety of brand assets including:
  • Merchandise (apparel, branded goods, retail items, etc)
  • Packaging (takeout packaging, labels, and seasonal designs)
  • Additional brand and operational assets (e.g., menus, in-store collateral event materials, internal documents)
• Create packaging concepts, mockups, and prototypes for review and approval.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project goals, timelines, and brand standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and adherence to the manufacturing process.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 4+ years of working experience in graphic design
• Proven experience in merchandise, packaging or general brand design with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and design for manufacturability.
• Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity working with international vendors and manufacturers
• Experience in restaurant or food & beverage brands
• Experience with food photography and/or videography
• Understanding of material costs and production trade-offs

Role Details
● Hourly project-based part-time contract position
● Flexible workload depending on project needs
● Remote-friendly with occasional collaboration as needed

Pay: $25– $36 per hour
