ASST GENERAL COUNSEL

The Assistant General Counsel provides representation, advice and direction to boards of directors, officers, directors and management staff of all PHP entities under the supervision of Corporate Counsel. The Assistant General Counsel protects the assets of the various PHP entities by providing legal representation, advice and direction, and by promoting compliance with all applicable laws and public policy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to legal drafting and review of contracts, advice and direction regarding all internal policies and procedures of PHP entities; all corporate governance issues of the PHP entities; compliance with the laws, rules and regulations of federal and state administrative agencies (including but not limited to CMS, ODH, OSHA, EPA, EEOC, OCRC, etc.), representation and advice on regulatory and contractual liability issues; and advice on developments in the law and public policy concerning healthcare. The Assistant General Counsel coordinates his/her activities with the attorneys and risk managers in the General Counsel’s Office as well as with the PHP Compliance Officer.
