Description

Red Dot Corporation, the leading producer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is recruiting for the following position:

Reports to: Area Team Lead 

Department: Stockroom

Location: Puyallup

FLSA Status: Regular, Non-Exempt 

Shift: Regular schedule is four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:15 PM

Compensation: $20.50/hr

JOB SUMMARY: Primarily assigned to either the shipping or bagging area, but may be asked to learn other roles within the warehouse as well. Performs a variety of warehousing functions, which may include: shipping, receiving, cycle counting, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, material distribution and delivery. Safely operates lift trucks and related material handling equipment as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential Functions:

• Collects, unpackages, and organizes parts to fill assembly work orders in a timely manner.

• Delivers parts to assembly areas throughout the plant.

• Communicates shortages and issues to the team by radio, instant message, email, and other means.

• Safely operates lift trucks as required to retrieve and store inventory.

• Conducts inventory transactions and moves inventory to point of use.

• Maintains inventory and keeps the work area clean.

• Assists with cycle counts and inventory validations as required.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse or distribution center experience.

• Ability to access data on a computer and enter information accurately.

• Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.

• Ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds, and to stand and bend frequently.

• Ability to work on your feet for 10-hour shifts, walking frequently.

• Ability to become forklift certified within 30 days of hire.

• Good attendance record.

• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and upper management.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

• Willingness to work mandatory overtime when necessary.

Preferred

• Prior material handling or inventory control experience.

• Current forklift certification (highly desired).
