Position Summary...

What you'll do...

  • Performs general cleaning and sanitation duties for inedible production lines, including floors, equipment, and equipment framework.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of production areas, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are cleaned and sanitized in accordance with company standards and applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Empties and cleans waste containers and ensures waste is properly disposed of in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitors inventory levels of cleaning and sanitation supplies and replenishes supplies as needed.
  • Complies with all applicable safety and health regulations, including the proper handling, use, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing assigned duties.
  • Regularly inspects assigned areas and reports maintenance issues, unsafe conditions, and health or safety hazards to appropriate management.
  • Adheres to all company safety procedures, policies, and guidelines.
  • Operates machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Immediately reports hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents.
  • Actively participates in required safety training and drills.
  • Maintains clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas to help prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of safety and sanitation procedures and protocols.
  • Maintains awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Successfully completes work assignments and prioritizes tasks by utilizing established policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations.

The hourly wage range for this position is $21.90 - $27.40* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
