Job Description

As a Security Officer Operations Center in Rapid City, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor communications, coordinate responses to security-related events, manage access control and badge activity, and maintain accurate records. You will provide outstanding customer service while supporting a professional environment and helping to deter incidents through clear communication and timely coordination. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor dispatch communications, receive and prioritize calls, and coordinate the appropriate response to incidents, alarms, service requests, and critical situations.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, and communications records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Communicate professionally with personnel, contractors, visitors, and responding agencies while relaying relevant information in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
