Wage Range: $12.00 to $14.00 +tips

Position Summary:

Responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and professional service. Handle payments, issue receipts, and may assist with order taking, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for guests. The cashier is often the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge.

 

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:

  • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system (we currently use Shift4Dine) to handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
  • Greet customers, answer questions.
  • Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the Outback by bussing tables, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Work as part of the team by assisting, communicating, and proactivity troubleshooting problems.

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Shovel snow
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications- Idaho Food Safety Certification and Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Certificate (training provided).

Technical- Computer skills                          

Physical Capabilities- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally and up to 100lbs with assistance.

Additional- Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.

 

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required-    English reading, writing and communication, basic math         

Minimum time in related position- previous cashier experience preferred
