Personal Support Specialist (PSS)

 Sign-On Bonus: Up to $1,500 for qualified full-time PSS hires or up to $750 for qualified part-time hires!  Applicants must be fully PSS certified at the time of hire to qualify. The bonus is paid in three installments: $500 after 60 days, $500 after 120 days, and $500 after 180 days of employment for the full-time bonus.   The part-time bonus is paid in three installments:  $250 after 60days, $250 after 120 days, and $250 after 180 days.  Available to full-time hires and part-time employees.  Bonus forfeited if employment ends before 180 days.

What you will do as a Personal Support Specialist:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, etc.)
• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living (using telephone, light housekeeping, meal preparation/service, etc.)
• Respond to resident call lights promptly
• Perform scheduled resident activities as assigned
• Accurately document care provisions or changes in resident statuses.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must commit to obtaining PSS certification within 120 days of hire.
• Must provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, Varicella and Influenza.
• Strong command of the English language with the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision
