Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible General Neurologist to join an established clinical practice in Ocala, Florida.
This is a 100% outpatient role designed for a physician seeking high clinical impact alongside work-life balance. Enjoy a predictable clinic schedule with no inpatient hospital rounding and minimal-to-no call responsibilities, supported by an experienced team of advanced practice providers, clinical staff, and administrative personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of general outpatient neurological conditions, including headache/migraine, neuropathy, movement disorders, seizure disorders, stroke follow-ups, and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Conduct outpatient consultations and establish comprehensive treatment plans for adult patients.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as EMG/NCS and EEG as clinically indicated (fellowship training or subspecialty focus welcomed, but not required).
- Collaborate with primary care physicians, subspecialists, physical therapists, and allied health staff to coordinate multi-disciplinary patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Schedule: Standard Monday through Friday business hours.
- Call Structure: Outpatient-only focus (No hospital call / No mandatory night/weekend rounding).
- Patient Volume: Manageable daily clinic templates structured to prioritize quality patient care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
- Licensure: Active (or eligible for) unrestricted Florida Medical License.
- DEA: Active Federal DEA license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
- Open to both experienced Neurologists and graduating Residents or Fellows.
